Light in small touches
Impressionism tries to hold a moment, with shimmering light and dabs of color that only join in the eye. You can find impressionist paintings on paper for sale here if you prefer pastel, watercolor or gouache with a light hand, for example as mixed media.
Impressionist studies come together fast on paper: brushstrokes stand side by side, sky and water merge without the colors turning muddy. The paper itself stays in the picture as white light and makes patches of sun bright.

A quiet dialogue with the window
These sheets like soft light and no harsh spotlight. Hang them in rooms with even daylight, such as a study or a stairwell. A light wood frame suits the mood. As an entry point, sheets under 500 euro are worth a look.
Ask about paper quality
Ask for weight and fiber type: cotton carries wetness, cellulose waves faster. With pastel it is also worth asking whether the sheet was fixed, so the fine dust is not lost during framing.
