A many layered construction
Collages at this price level often show how many materials a picture can carry. If you want to buy collage paintings in acrylic for sale from 1,000 to 2,000 euro, you will meet works with format and depth.
On large canvases, papers, fabrics, photographs and pieces of board are assembled into landscapes of layers. Acrylic medium joins them, paint sets accents and edges. As you step closer the picture changes, down to single scraps of lettering you did not notice at first. Give the picture time. Collages often reveal their found pieces only after days: a figure, a bit of handwriting, a stamp. These details make up the appeal and reward the engagement.

Tactile in the room
Where thick layers build up, the picture casts shadows on itself. Raking light from a window or a spotlight strengthens this. A frame with some distance preserves the structure.
Before acquiring
Ask about weight, adhesive method and paper quality. Acid free materials and a varnish as a protective layer are among the most important points for a collage of this size.
