Originals in this selection, Acrylic, Expressionism, 5,000 to 10,000 euro.
The support sets the tone
Expressionist work in acrylic is not tied to canvas: wood, paper, board and metal take the paint just as eagerly and give it a different tone each time. Expressionist acrylic paintings for sale from 5,000 to 10,000 euro are best chosen with an eye on support and application.
On wood the paint stays smooth and looks almost graphic, on board it turns matte and drier, on canvas elastic. Expressive painters often choose the ground to suit the gesture, and that choice is part of the statement.

Condensing through layers
On the way to the finished picture many layers often lie on top of each other. Underneath stand earlier color decisions that shimmer through the application. This depth signals care and can be fully seen only in front of the original.
Plan and check
Large panel pictures need a load-bearing hanging system, canvases a taut stretcher. Check whether the edges are sealed and a protective varnish is present. At this price band, proof of authenticity belongs to the package.
