On metal and wood
Urban and pop in acrylic often means canvas, wood, aluminum or board as the surface for motifs that stick quickly and last long. Acrylic paintings in the urban and pop style for sale from 5,000 to 10,000 euro are best approached with an eye on support and application.
Pop on aluminum looks smooth and almost industrial, on wood warm and graphic. Both supports are stable and often need no frame. The edges are then part of the picture and treated accordingly. On metal especially, reflections arise that give the picture a second level depending on the angle.

Contrasts and irony
Pop plays with opposites: glamour beside the everyday, comic beside art history. Whoever hangs such a picture gets a talking point. It pays to look at the motif for quotes and allusions.
Practical notes on hanging
Check weight and back: panels often come with a hanging system of aluminum rails. Ask about protective coat so spray and marker stay colorfast over time. With panels, plan the wall mounting in advance, since rails need a level surface.
