Glaring tones, clear effect
Acrylic drives expressionism to the extreme: unmixed colors, hard breaks, gestures that are fixed in seconds. Expressionist acrylic paintings on canvas for sale between 5,000 and 10,000 euro reward a comparison of speed, structure and luminosity in the application.
Acrylic delivers pure, opaque colors that stay legible even in conflict with each other. A yellow can scream beside a violet without turning muddy. This purity is a hallmark of expressive acrylic painting and explains its long-distance effect on large canvases.

Painted fast, stable for long
Because the paint sets in minutes, the picture often emerges in one go. The restlessness of the lines is real, not staged. Even so, acrylic stays permanently elastic and lightfast, as long as pigments and varnish are of good quality.
What to look for
On large canvases tension counts: the stretcher should be stabilized with cross braces. Ask about protective coat, painted sides and packing, and have dimensions, signature and certificate confirmed.
