Two techniques, one support
Marker on acrylic and canvas: the dry paint layer takes lines cleanly, and the result sometimes looks like a painted drawing, sometimes like script. Here you can browse marker paintings on canvas for sale.
The canvas is primed with acrylic or painted across. Markers on an alcohol or acrylic base then come into play, with tips from hairline to chisel shaped. Acrylic markers cover even over dark grounds, whereas alcohol markers need light surfaces to glow. Good marker canvases show even color coverage, clean line ends and a ground that does not look frayed or blotchy. Check as well whether the edges are painted. That makes hanging without a frame easier.
