In this tier you find pieces in which sheet metal was cut, etched, waxed or painted. Metal is combined with pigment, resin or paper, and the layers fuse into a surface that feels hard and soft at once. Larger formats are more common here, as are more elaborate backs and hanging systems.

The bigger the sheet, the more the wall matters. Read weight and hanging in the description and drill only into load-bearing surfaces. For light, one spot at a grazing angle is enough: it brings out grooves, hammer marks and brushstrokes.
