Color in veils
Pastel and impressionism belong together, ever since artists began to translate light into colored dust. Impressionist pastel drawings for sale from 1,000 to 2,000 euro suit walls that can take summer light and softness.
Flower beds, water surfaces and faces arise from tones laid over one another that run together at the edges. Because the chalk needs no binder, pink, lilac and light green keep their powdery glow. That is the charm of these drawings.

Well seen, well protected
A frame with glass and deep spacing holds back the dust, and a warm mat takes up the colors. Hang the sheet out of direct sun, ideally in a room with diffuse light. Too much heat makes the chalk fall more easily.
Checking paper and mounting
Ask about the paper, since pastel needs tooth, meaning a rough surface. It also pays to ask about fixing, type of pastel and how the sheet was mounted. Compare detail photos, because colors on screen vary from device to device.
