A sculptural light inspired by the living movement of fire
Original artwork description
With Flame Lamp 19-77, I wanted to transform light into a sculptural material and give the flame a presence of its own.
I create the flame using my signature metal lace technique, shaping steel drop by drop to form an openwork structure that evokes the delicate, ever-changing movement of fire. The perforated metal allows light to pass through, making the sculpture appear to vibrate and change depending on the lighting and the viewer’s perspective.
Inside the flame, 24-karat gold leaf catches the light and enhances its warmth, creating a luminous golden glow. The contrast between the dark metal lace and the precious golden surface brings together strength and delicacy, material and light.
Designed as both a functional light and a contemporary sculpture, this unique artwork can become a striking focal point in a living room, entrance, office, or art collection.
Handcrafted in my studio in France, Flame Lamp 19-77 is an original, signed artwork accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
