Dabs of color instead of outline
Pastel tones, glowing flecks of light, color that flows together: impressionism in color photography paints with the camera. If you want color photos like these for sale, look from 500 to 1,000 euro or 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
Unlike in black and white, impressionism shows here through gradients of color. Sunlight on blossoms, reflections on water or backlight in foliage condense into patches that run into each other. The eye puts them together only as you look. Gardens, water and street lights work especially well, because the colors mix in the eye instead of separating in the image.

Summery on the wall
Colorful impressions bring brightness to rooms with little daylight. They suit white, natural wood and green. Do not hang the picture across from a window, or the incoming light will outshine the delicate tones.
Checking color, checking print
Soft color gradients show printing flaws at once as steps. Ask about paper, printing process and edition. Photos developed on photo paper also have a gloss quite their own compared with matte stock.
