Color fidelity at the core
Color and sharpness together give the feeling you could reach into the picture: ripe fruit, wet asphalt, silk fabrics. You can buy photorealistic color photography for sale under 500 euro, and there is a choice from 500 to 1,000 euro as well.
In a photorealistic color picture the colors have to look as they do in life. Skin tones, sky blue and plant green are especially sensitive. A calibrated print preserves these nuances down into the shadows. Especially fascinating are motifs that look like a painting at first glance and only up close reveal themselves as photos.

Detail-rich color pictures offer two views: from afar as a composition, up close as a study of fabrics and surfaces. Hang the picture so that both are possible. Indirect light and plain glass avoid glare on smooth motif surfaces.
Questions for the description
Rely on the description for paper, printing process and size. With pigment prints it is worth asking about lightfastness. If the print is part of an edition, the numbering should be readable.
