Paint or glass
In photography, acrylic can mean two things: paint lying on the print, or glass behind which the picture glows. Acrylic photographs are for sale for anyone who particularly values the depth and surface of a picture.
When acrylic paint is applied to the print, brush marks, gradients and glazes arise that make the photograph a mixed-media work. When the picture is mounted behind acrylic glass, it gains brilliance, depth and a smooth surface without a frame.

Effect in the room
Both paths give the picture presence. Acrylic glass reflects, so it needs a wall without direct light. Painted-over prints tell their own story with the trail of color and suit rooms that can take something handmade.
To look further
Whether impressionism, modern or manipulated work: ask about the process, the edition and the signature. You will find larger sheets in the 1,000 to 2,000 euro tier. If you are unsure, ask how the picture may be cleaned: acrylic glass likes soft cloths, while painted-over prints want no moisture at all. That is a simple test for the quality of a description.
