Originals in this selection, Expressive and gestural, Material Watercolor, under 500 euro.
Speed on paper
Gestural watercolor lets the brush dance, with broad sweeps, spatters and strong contrasts. If you want expressive watercolors under 500 euro for sale, you will find sheets that concentrate energy in a small space.
The brush is moved fast, the paint runs over the edge of the shape and stays where it dries. Watercolor forgives no hesitation, so you can see decisiveness in every line. Ink, charcoal or a graphite stick often join as a second layer. Splashes and drops are not corrected here, they stay as part of the handwriting.

Effect on the wall
A small sheet with a strong gesture acts like an exclamation mark beside calm motifs. Several such sheets in a row create rhythm. Identical frames provide order. On a white wall the combination of color and empty space looks especially clear.
What to look out for
Strong colors need pigments with good lightfastness. Ask about it, especially for glowing reds and violets. Paper weight matters too, since sturdy paper tolerates wet blows.
