Originals in this selection, Abstract, Material Watercolor, under 500 euro.
Color flow on wet paper
Abstract watercolor leaves part of the work to the water: colors run together, dry with soft borders and leave fine edges. If you want abstract watercolors under 500 euro for sale, you are after small color studies with plenty of movement.
When the paper is dampened first, pigments travel and mix on their own. Where two tones meet, new ones appear that cannot be planned. Salt or wax can add further patterns. Chance becomes a design tool here. Dark edges where paint has dried show the path of the water and are part of the charm.

Small formats, big effect
Abstract sheets in this price tier are usually handy. That suits niches, shelf walls and desks. A white mat makes sure the colors look calm on the wall. Pick up colors of the picture in cushions or vases nearby, which ties it into the room.
A note on choosing
In the description, look at paper, dimensions and signature. Abstract watercolors are rich in color, so a spot out of direct sun is worth it. On abstract sheets the signature often sits at the lower edge or on the back.
