Transparency as the subject
Watercolor in a minimalist spirit means almost nothing beyond water, pigment and paper, and that is exactly the point. Minimalist watercolors for sale are best judged by the trace of the paint and the edge where it dries.
A single stripe of watercolor shows how the pigment moves through water and forms a fine, darker line at its edge. The paper shines through and becomes color itself. The less happens on the sheet, the clearer it becomes that every stain succeeds only once.

Behind glass, with air
Watercolor belongs behind glass and a mat with a generous border. Direct sunlight fades some pigments, so choose a spot in softer light, such as a hallway or bedroom. A light frame in oak or white preserves the delicacy.
Paper and price
Ask about the paper: cotton stays more stable over time than cellulose. Related work sits under Material Watercolor; for orientation, under 500 euro is a common starting point and 500 to 1,000 euro the next step.
