Warmth and depth
Oil is the paint that gives time: you can layer it, shift it and rework it. Oil paintings from 500 to 1,000 euro on wood, canvas or board are for sale here, with all the warmth of this material.
Oil tones keep their glow after years, because the drying oil forms a firm, flexible film. Dark areas have velvety depth, pale glazes glow like glass. That combination makes oil pictures long-term companions.

Which support fits
Wood offers stability and smooth surfaces, canvas suppleness, board easy handling. Decide by room and hanging: panels suit small walls, stretched canvases large areas. All three supports can be shown framed or free. If you hang oil on wood, look for a sturdy back with fixed hardware, since panels weigh more than canvases.
Details for deciders
Watch for signature, dimensions, varnish and notes on drying time. If you want to know more, ask about the order of colors and the pigments used. That brings clarity and makes the decision easier.
