Freedom of means
Painting is the broad umbrella, and in the gestural style what counts most is momentum. If you want expressive oil paintings for sale, you get pictures where technique, support and format may stay open.
Without a fixed technique label, a work moves between canvas, wood, paper and board. What matters is the paint application: knife, broom, rag and bare hand all count as tools. Oil stays wet for a long time and can be rubbed or layered right on the picture. If you prefer it calmer, there are also restrained pictures whose gesture stays quiet.
