Wear as design
Modern art may consist of things that have been used before: scrap, wood, textile. You can find modern mixed media with found objects for sale here if you want to join clear forms with traces of the past.
The found piece brings patina that no artist could convincingly paint: worn edges, rust, faded color. Modern works leave these traces standing and arrange them in a reduced composition. Popular are clear surfaces in restrained colors from which an object juts that brings history. The play between smooth surface and rough object turns the picture into a place where you linger.

Painted positions are under painting. With a limited budget, a look at pieces under 500 euro can help. Both show how differently the found piece is used.
Care and safety
Rust and dust can often be bound with clear coat, which you should look for in the description. Do not touch the surface, and check whether pointed parts are secured. Good hanging avoids strain on the bond.
