Clarity in the material
With a marker you can think modern: shapes are set, colors cleanly separated, lines drawn exactly. Modern mixed media works with marker are for sale here for readers who want order and luminosity in one sheet.
The smooth planes markers leave suit art that relies on composition rather than narrative. With collage or acrylic the whole gains depth. Precisely because the stroke is hard to correct, successful sheets look determined. With modern works comparisons help: lay the photos of several sheets side by side and notice which color mood will suit your furniture and your light over time. That saves wrong purchases and prolongs the pleasure.

Fitting connections
Anyone who wants to stay within the technique will find alternatives under mixed media; among price classes, there is the 1,000 to 2,000 euro band. Framing should be simple so the composition speaks.
Care
Keep the sheet out of the sun, use UV-filtering glass and watch for constant humidity. With marker works it is worth asking which type was used.
