Collage as a dream tool
Dream logic does not need an oil painting: on paper too, shifted proportions, flowing transitions and puzzling combinations can take shape. Surrealist mixed media on paper is for sale on this page for rooms that benefit from a little mystery.
The Surrealists loved collage because it sets incompatible things side by side without explanation. A cut-out shadow, a printed eye, a landscape of watercolor: together they make a scene that does not add up and therefore stays in the mind.

Deep red, quiet room
Surreal sheets work best alone, on a calm surface with little distraction around them. Frames in muted tones support the mood. If you prefer line work, see the drawings; for a tighter budget, pieces under 500 euro. The mix of beauty and unease is intended. When you pick a sheet, notice how long it keeps you busy. If you are still finding new details after a few days, you have probably chosen well. Surreal pieces reward patience.
