Material with a technical past
Fiberglass in mixed media joins technology and design: an industrial material becomes art. Mixed media with fiberglass from 1,000 to 2,000 euro is for sale if you like the union of craft and material.
Fiberglass is known from boats, car bodies and furniture. In art it becomes a light, formable medium that carries lacquer, paint and inclusions. Hollow spaces, curves and smooth transitions are strengths that mean a lot of effort in other materials.

Additions and layers
Mixed media here means paper under the lacquer, metal shavings in the resin or glued-on fragments held by glass fibers. In the 1,000 to 2,000 euro tier these joins are usually executed cleanly. Check photos of the edges and the back.
Care and placement
Fiberglass is robust, but lacquer can pick up scratches. Take dust off with a soft cloth and avoid sharp cleaners. Keep a distance from radiators, since heat can strain lacquer and resin.
