Fiberglass is only half as heavy as it looks and twice as formable. Anyone who wants mixed media with fiberglass for sale finds wall objects and sculptures that join color, form and structure without ballast.
The core of this technique is a thin shell of glass fiber and resin. On it come lacquer, paint and mixed media layers such as paper, metal or pigment powder. Some artists let parts be sealed into the resin, others glue them on. Surfaces range from satin matte to high gloss.

Fiberglass objects can be hung even in rentals with lightweight walls, because they weigh little. Still, ask about weight and hanging and use suitable anchors. The spot should be dry and not beside a radiator.
