Originals in this selection, Charcoal, Expressionism, under 500 euro.
Black with muscle behind it
Charcoal is the most honest material for expressionism: it breaks, smears, dusts and reveals every move of the arm. Expressionist charcoal drawings for sale under 500 euro suit anyone who wants a picture with temperament.
Drawing in charcoal engages the whole arm, not just the wrist. You can see it in broad, moving strokes, in spots rubbed through to the paper, and in figures that seem torn out of shadow. That force shapes the expressionist tone. Torn edges and thick fingerprints are part of the handwriting here, not flaws.

Making room for a dark sheet
A large black charcoal sheet needs a wall with some quiet, perhaps in a study or hallway. Behind glass with a spacer the surface stays protected, and a broad white margin lets the darkness breathe.
Buying points for charcoal
Read whether the sheet is fixed and what paper was used, since charcoal grips rough paper better. Under 500 euro, smaller studies are well represented among originals. When hanging several charcoal sheets side by side, use identical frames so only the strokes speak.
