Originals in this selection, Pastel, under 500 euro.
Color like powdered stone
Pastel colors where other drawing tools merely draw lines: grainy layers of color stay on the paper and run into one another. Pastel drawings for sale under 500 euro suit walls that can handle light and color.
The pastel is laid on in layers, rubbed in and broken up again so the surface stays velvety. With pastel you get skies, skin and blossoms with soft edges. If you look for an impressionist feel, pastel is where you find it quickly. Pastel can be handled dry like a drawing tool or broadly like painting, and that double nature is its charm.

Careful with dust and sun
Pastel pigments are light sensitive, especially strong reds and violets. Protect the sheet behind glass with a spacer, and avoid hanging it opposite large windows. A warm white on the wall gives the tones more depth than a cool one.
Frame and paper questions
Rough paper takes a lot of chalk, smooth paper very little. Ask about the paper type and any fixing. Under 500 euro, small to medium formats are common among originals.
