Hortus and Pic Saint-Loup scrubland
Original artwork description
This oil painting depicts the landscape that unfolds before us in the scrubland north of Montpellier near the village of Mas de Londres. The Hortus mountain, on the left, faces the Pic Saint-Loup. Two watercolors painted on location served as studies. In this work, created using successive glazes from October 2024 to January 2025, I have synthesized the landscape, retaining only its essence. The aim is not to represent strict reality but to evoke emotion through the interplay of planes and colors. This oil painting is framed and ready to hang. Dimensions unframed: 40x40x2 cm
