This oil painting depicts the charming harbour of Pointe Courte in Sète. In this Mediterranean port in the south of France, picturesque fishermen's huts, used to store fishing gear, line the harbor, evoking an atmosphere of history and tradition. The interplay of light and shadow and their reflections in the water enhance the peaceful atmosphere of this harbor scene. Watercolor studies made in-situ were used to realise this work using successive glazes on a linen canvas. The black-painted edges give this canvas a clean and contemporary look. It is ready to hang.
