Born in Voronezh, Russia, in 1961, Izabella Chulkova discovered her artistic path early, studying Fine Arts at the Art College in her hometown and later at the State University of Art and Design in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Her education in art and interior design shaped a distinct visual language — refined, emotional, and deeply human. Her degree in Fine Arts is officially recognized in Germany as a professional qualification in design.
Since 1987 she has worked as a freelance artist, and since 1995 she has made Cologne her home — a city where she continues to paint, experiment, and exhibit.
Chulkova’s works can be found in several public collections, among them the Kramskoj Art Museum in Voronezh, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, and the State Gallery A3 in Moscow. Her paintings have also been featured in private and institutional collections across Europe.
Her art has appeared at numerous international fairs, including the Affordable Art Fair in Amsterdam and Stockholm, ART.FAIR Cologne, and Contemporary Art Ruhr in Essen. Publications such as MMOMA Magazine and the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam’s feature “Top 5 Female Artists” have highlighted her work for its emotional depth and timeless clarity.
