We are delighted to announce the 2nd Artplaner Prize. This is your opportunity to showcase your art to a wider audience and gain recognition.
We always love receiving mail!
Real mail - something you can hold, something that brings joy and wonder, something to share and keep!
So, send us your art in the form of a postcard. It could be a photograph, a sketch, a linocut, or a small painting. The subject matter does not matter; however, political or religious themes are not desired.
The size is limited to a maximum of 210 × 148 mm and a maximum thickness of 5 mm. We prefer original artworks.
The work should be recognizable as a postcard; however, should an envelope be necessary, integrate the envelope into the concept.
Important: Anything else will not be accepted.
Who can participate?
Artists from anywhere are welcome to participate.
Criteria:
We place special emphasis on originality and compelling execution.
Participation is completely free of charge - except, of course, for your postage costs.
Please include at least your name, country, and email address on the postcard if you wish to be eligible to win.
The top 30 artworks will be showcased and celebrated in the spring of 2027 at a dedicated exhibition - complete with an opening reception - in our Gallery Lächelt.
Any proceeds from sales will go to Artplaner projects.
Terms of Participation
Basic Condition
By participating, you agree to all terms and conditions.
Ownership, Return and Use
Please note: These conditions reflect the nature of this project. Artists are invited to send Artplaner a postcard or a small artwork in postcard form as a gift. Entries will not be returned, regardless of whether they are selected, exhibited, or sold.
By submitting an entry, the participant transfers ownership of the submitted postcard or small artwork in postcard form to Artplaner free of charge.
The copyright and moral rights remain with the artist. The participant grants Artplaner the free, non-exclusive right to photograph, reproduce, and use the submitted postcard in connection with the call for entries, the exhibition, documentation, and the public relations activities of Artplaner and Galerie Lächelt, in particular on the website, social media, newsletters, and in the press.
Whenever the work is used, the artist’s name will be credited where possible and reasonable.
Artplaner is entitled to sell selected works as part of the exhibition. Proceeds from sales will go towards Artplaner projects. Any commercial use beyond this, in particular the sale of reproductions, requires a separate agreement.
Shipping and Liability
Entries are sent at the participant’s own cost and risk. Artplaner accepts no liability for loss of or damage to an entry during shipping.
Sale
Artplaner reserves the right to sell selected submitted works during or in connection with the exhibition. There is no entitlement to exhibition or sale. Proceeds from sales will go towards Artplaner projects.
Prize Acceptance
Winners must submit the required bank transfer details within 14 days. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of the prize. Any unclaimed amount will be rolled over to the next call for entries.
Legal Provisions
Recourse to legal action is excluded. The jury’s decisions are final and binding. No reasons will be given for the jury’s decisions.
Exclusions
Artplaner employees are excluded from participation.
