Hanging with restraint
Place such a work at least a hand’s width from the wall edge or furniture. A frame in plain wood or white, plus a mat with a wide border, gives the reduction the room it needs. Soft daylight brings out the nuances of the color, cold light flattens them.
What matters in the paper
Thin papers cockle when paint is applied, and in monotypes this is especially noticeable. Ask about paper weight and type. Under 500 euro, handy formats are usual and easy to frame. A plain frame without ornament does not distract and protects the edges.
