Original artwork description
This carbon print presents the leaves of winter aconite (Eranthis hyemalis) in a loose, almost floating arrangement. The individual forms are scattered across the surface like incidental traces, yet they reveal a subtle inner order. Their fan-shaped structures emerge in varying tones—sometimes clear and present, sometimes barely visible, like fading memories.
The grainy softness of charcoal lends the leaves a delicate sense of transience. Between layering and dissolution, a play of proximity and distance unfolds, guiding the viewer’s gaze across the composition. The image feels light and open, as if a fleeting moment of early spring had gently settled onto the paper.
