One tone, many nuances
A single color, a single surface, a fine edge: minimalist color photography reduces the impression to one tone. You can find minimalist color ink photographs for sale if you want to use color quietly.
A blue sky above a roof, a yellow cloth on concrete: the color stands alone and therefore has to be right. Ink renders fine gradients within a surface, so it stays alive instead of looking like a coat of paint.

A sheet like this works best on a calm wall, discreetly framed in white, black or oak. Two sheets with related tones side by side make a quiet color pair.
What to look for
Ask whether the tone on the screen really matches the print, and have the ink type named. Dimensions of image and sheet, edition and signature should be given. If you have several rooms in mind, a sheet in neutral beige or gray helps, since it can be moved later without quarreling with its surroundings.
