Surface, color, paper
A single color tone over a wide surface: minimalist color photography is almost a meditation. Minimalist color photographs on paper are for sale for anyone who values color as mood rather than motif.
When only one tone remains, the quality of the paper shows at once. Baryta brings depth and a fine shimmer, cotton warmth and softness. Even areas without streaks are a sign of good workmanship.

Color that tunes the room
A mint green or sand-colored sheet calms a room, a deep blue gives it weight. Hang it on a free wall without competing pictures. A slim frame is enough.
Small things that count
Ask for a photo in daylight so you can judge the tone. Ask about paper, lightfastness, edition and signature. With color fields the white margin is part of the effect and should be stated. First try the picture against the wall without fixing it, and watch it at different times of day. A tone that looks cool in the morning can feel pleasantly warm in the evening.
