Hard shadows, smooth plane
Acrylic on canvas is a rewarding material for metaphysical scenes because it allows smooth planes and hard shadow edges. Metaphysical acrylic paintings for sale rely on a medium that carries the cool clarity of this world well.
The shadows in metaphysical pictures are often razor sharp and the walls monochrome. Acrylic covers quickly and evenly, so surfaces can be painted without visible brushwork. The matte to satiny finish suits the impression of a square where nothing happens anymore.

Space around it
An empty pictorial space needs a quiet setting. The picture works best on a smooth, light wall with generous distance from other pieces. If you plan to hang several together, choose similar frame colors so the severity does not fall apart.
