Sharp edge, matte plane
Acrylic dries fast enough to produce edges that oil can only reach with effort. Anyone wishing to find geometric acrylic canvases for sale will see planes with a clean line and an even, matte application.
Geometric pictures need paint that sets quickly. Acrylic lets a painter mask a stripe, fill the area and peel the tape off after a short wait. What remains is an edge that looks cut with a blade. On stretched canvas the paint lies evenly and slightly satiny, without the gloss of oil.

Calm on the wall
A grid or a block of color feels more physical on canvas than on paper, because the stretcher bar throws a fine line of shadow. Above a sofa or at the end of a hallway, such a picture holds the eye. With plenty of daylight, choose a spot without glare, otherwise the surface seems to shimmer.
Check before buying
Look at the dimensions including the depth of the stretcher bar, and whether the sides are painted. If you want pure acrylic, compare under Material Acrylic; to set a price window, try 500 to 1,000 euro.
