Construction in oil
Cubist oil painting joins strict construction with the sensuality of paint. If you want cubist oil paintings for sale, you will find works in which angles and planes grow into a world of their own.
Oil lets a painter set planes against each other exactly and sharpen the borders with one knife stroke. At the same time it stays warm in tone. That keeps the strictness of form alive without softening it. Even in a small format a cubist picture can feel monumental.

Support and size
Cubist oils exist on canvas, wood and board. Wood supports clear, hard edges, board suits small studies. Measure wall and distance before choosing the format. What matters is to measure the wall precisely and think of the viewing distance.
Pointers on authenticity
An original shows brush or knife marks in relief. Check detail photos for whether planes were painted in several layers, and ask about signature and varnish.
