Originals in this selection, Acrylic, collage on canvas, Gesso, 1,000 to 2,000 euro.
Gluing, layering, covering
Collage on gesso brings paper, fabric or found pieces into a bright, supporting ground. Anyone seeking acrylic collage paintings on canvas with gesso from 1,000 to 2,000 euro for sale wants pictures that feel tactile.
Gesso accepts adhesive and paper well because it absorbs slightly. Painters lay scraps into it, paint over them with acrylic or let them stand as an edge. A relief results that in raking light yields a whole landscape of little hills and valleys.

What the description should reveal
With collages, details of the materials count: which papers, which adhesive, which protective coat? The more precise, the better the picture can be cared for. For originals from 1,000 to 2,000 euro, larger canvases are common, and the dimensions should be given in full.
Dust and placement
Relief-like surfaces catch dust. A soft brush gets it out of joints and edges. Do not put the picture above a heater or in a damp environment, since paper can swell. With side light the structure looks most sculptural.
