Paper, paint, structure
Collage and acrylic on gesso make surfaces you explore with your eyes. Anyone seeking acrylic collage paintings on canvas with gesso for sale wants pictures made of paper, paint and relief.
Gesso gives paper a hold and paint a bright frame. Painters glue in scraps, newspaper edges or sheet music, rework them with acrylic and leave single edges visible. Surfaces result that recall walls, maps or archives.

Reading what lies beneath
In collages, writing often shimmers through without being legible. That gives pictures something archaeological. Some artists place found pieces deliberately, others cover them largely. A detail shot in the description shows how strongly the material emerges.
Price and care
For orientation use 1,000 to 2,000 euro, where larger canvases can be found. Care for the surface with a dry brush. Paper reacts to moisture and light, so a bright, balanced room and a wall away from heater and window suit it.
