Painting on and with rust
A ground made of rust never stays entirely the same, even when sealed: it carries its own making along. In the 500 to 1,000 euro band you can find paintings with rust for sale in which brushwork and oxidation hold each other in balance.
Sometimes the rust lies beneath the paint, sometimes on top. Opaque strokes in white or black cut shapes out of the rust ground, while glazes let it shine through. That creates a dialogue between planned gesture and accidental trace.

A place in the kitchen, hall or office
In medium formats, such pictures suit seating corners and meeting rooms. Earthy tones offset coolness, and black frames give them a hold.
Before you decide
Look for a note about sealing, since rust can keep working in damp air. The support, say sheet steel or wood, should also appear in the description. A word on hanging: with heavier panels, hooks and plugs should match the weight, and a gap of a few millimeters behind lets the back breathe. That prevents mildew spots and keeps the edges clean.
