Glass as color carrier
Abstract enamel sets color flowing and freezes it in the fire. Anyone who wants abstract mixed media with enamel for sale will find surfaces that sit between glass, metal and painting.
Powdered glass is dusted or applied and melted in the kiln. It pulls lines, forms drops and overlays colors. The results look abstract because nobody can fix the flow entirely. The appeal lies in the interplay of planning and chance.

Room for glowing surfaces
Enamel glows especially before calm walls and in rooms with lots of daylight. A frame in plain metal suits it, a heavy gold frame rather less. Check size and weight before you choose the wall.

For technique, see Mixed Media, and for a budget search, 2,000 to 5,000 euro. Wipe dust off with a dry cloth, avoid stronger cleaning. Look for undamaged edges, since that is where enamel is most delicate.
