Painting with company
Painted mixed media shows color in company: with ink, graphite, paper and found objects. You can find painting for sale from 1,000 to 2,000 euro here, whether abstract or gestural.
Here color remains the main thing, but it is never alone. Graphite pulls lines through the glaze, ink sets shadows, a piece of paper becomes an anchor in the picture. At this price level, originals often show a mature, recognizable hand.

A picture for the wall
Medium to large formats dominate the picture in the room: above the sofa, at the head of a dining table or in a tall hallway. Mixed media painting changes strongly with the light. Check where daylight falls.
Documentation and care
Ask for details on support and protective layer. Painted mixed media is often varnished, which unifies and protects surfaces. Where graphite or ink lie open, framing with glass is advisable.
