Painting with a pen
When markers serve as a painting tool, glowing planes and precise edges appear that recall screen printing. Mixed media painting with marker is for sale in this price band for readers who want to join color density with sharp lines.
Opaque paint markers can be layered like gouache, only without brush marks. Brushed passages, acrylic and collage add rhythm. The result sits between drawing and painting and feels contemporary.

Hanging and letting it work
Painting of this kind lives on luminosity, so neutral walls make sense. A frame in oak or black keeps the color in front. For larger formats, two hanging points keep anything from sagging.
To consider
Water-soluble markers react to humidity, alcohol-based ones to light. Ask which type was used, and whether a protective varnish was applied. The color balance deserves a look too: very bright marker colors work best when calmer passages accompany them. Without that counterweight, the picture quickly turns loud. Check the photo in daylight and on a larger screen instead of just a phone.
