Joined, not just glued
Photo, paint, paper and wax in one work are not rare, but seldom blended convincingly. You can find mixed media works with photo for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro if you want originals where photography is part of a larger composition.
Good mixed media works feel like a whole: the photo is integrated, the paint picks up its tones, paper and wax carry them further. Edges and transitions reveal the care taken. Typical interventions include overpainting, wax application, scratches into the emulsion and glued-in papers. Each method changes the effect of the photo differently and turns the print into a material you can no longer separate from the picture.

Wax layers are pressure-sensitive, photo prints light-sensitive. Hang such works in the shade and on a stable wall. Do not touch surfaces, and dust only dry. Dust protection on the back prevents deposits.
