Originals in this selection, Material Gouache, 2,000 to 5,000 euro.
Color that carries
Gouache at a larger format demands confidence, since opaque color fields hardly forgive restlessness. You can find mixed media with gouache for sale from 2,000 to 5,000 euro if you look for originals combining clear color and built surface.
Gouache is applied in several opaque layers and forms an evenly matte surface. Collage parts and drawing stand out against it. The result recalls paper cutting, poster and painting at once. Typical are large, opaquely painted zones supplemented with paper, ink or pencil. Because gouache dries evenly, color fields of rare calm arise against which the other materials stand out clearly.

What this price band offers
For originals between these amounts, larger paper formats, elaborate build-up and careful framing are common. Because gouache is delicate, the quality of paper and frame counts.
