Originals in this selection, Abstract, Material Gouache, 2,000 to 5,000 euro.
Surface, edge, tone
Pure fields of gouache feel calm and yet alive, because the paper breathes slightly beneath them. You can find abstract mixed media with gouache for sale from 2,000 to 5,000 euro if you put form and color ahead of subject matter.
Abstract gouaches live from the relation of colors and from the edge where two tones meet. Paper strips, ink or graphite supply additional structure and separate or connect single fields. Typical are color fields standing side by side like cuts, plus lines of graphite or ink. Where pieces of paper are inserted, a second layer arises that turns the picture from a pure color field into a structure.

On the price band
For originals in this span, larger paper formats and demanding construction are common. Anyone choosing this price band should put weight on quality framing, as protection of the surface is decisive here.
Hanging in a room
Abstract gouaches suit bright, calm rooms. A wide mat and a fine frame let the colors stand. Neither sun nor damp is good for paper and pigments, so the location matters.
