Originals in this selection, Mixed Media, Material Gouache, 2,000 to 5,000 euro.
Paper on paper
Collage and gouache are old allies, since both manage with paper and love flat, clear shapes. You can find mixed media works with gouache for sale from 2,000 to 5,000 euro if you appreciate originals with color presence and technical precision.
Cut-out shapes, painted sheets and fields of gouache are joined into a whole. The transitions show how precisely the work was done: clean cuts, even surfaces, no bleeding. Usual are cut papers, glued-on foils, ink lines and opaque fields of gouache. The interplay of matte and glossy zones makes the sheet look different depending on the light angle and rewards repeated viewing.

Expectations of the band
For originals at this price level, larger formats and more elaborate layering are mostly to be expected. A build-up of several layers demands careful gluing and a frame that does not stress the paper.
Showing and preserving
Gouache is not lightfast. Hang the work on a wall without sunlight, ideally behind UV-protective glass. Ask about paper type and adhesive, and do not hang the work on walls with temperature swings.
