Riddles in pastel
Metaphysical pictures show places that look real yet lie nowhere: arcades, towers, shadows without bodies. Metaphysical mixed media works with oil pastel are for sale here when you are after a picture with a riddle in it.
Oil pastel allows soft skies, hard shadow edges and calm planes without smearing the stroke. That produces pictures recalling afternoon light in southern cities without naming any particular place.

Hang it and let it work
Such works take time. Plan them for a spot where people sit or linger, not just pass by. A single frame with lots of wall around it stresses the quiet. For more on color see painting, and for price the 500 to 1,000 euro band. A practical note on lighting: metaphysical pictures live on shadow contrast. A lamp shining from the side raises the effect, while glaring ceiling light flattens it. A picture light can also be a sensible choice.
Care
Wax and oil stay soft. Frame with a gap to the glass, shield the picture from heating air, and ask about storage in the studio in case the work was rolled before.
