Construction in gray
The pencil brings out cubist construction: angles, hatching and overlaps in which every line has its place. Cubist pencil drawings for sale sit in the tier of 1,000 to 2,000 euro, and pencil and graphite go with them.
Without color, the scaffold of the picture steps forward. The draftsperson stacks light and dark planes on top of one another, overlays silhouettes and pulls edges with a ruler. Graphite allows delicate gradients between facets, so the sheet looks strict and soft at once.

Frame clearly, hang clearly
Slim metal frames or black wooden moldings suit the geometric motifs. A mat in cool white supports the effect. As a group of several sheets at equal spacing, a wall arises that radiates structure.
Asking about graphite
With pencil, it helps to ask about paper, lead hardness and fixing. Rubbing makes graphite shine where it should not, so ask how the sheet will be packed. Signature and format should be in the description, along with notes on the state of the edges.
