Powerful fields of color
Pastel makes graphic motifs glow: surfaces turn velvet matte, and lettering and contour stand clearly in front of them. Graphic pastel drawings for sale come in many palettes, beginner friendly under 500 euro, and sheets in oil pastels fit here too.
Unlike soft landscape pastel, the graphic artist works with clear fields and sharp edges. Oil pastel goes on strongly, holds firmly and can be scraped with a knife to set lines. That makes a poster-like color surface with texture.

Hanging and protecting
Pastel should hang behind glass. Oil pastel is less dusty than dry pastel but stays soft for a long time and can take fingerprints. A mat with distance keeps the paper away from the glass. Do not hang the sheet above radiators.
Questions for the description
Ask about the type of pastel, paper and fixing. A photo in daylight shows the colors more truthfully than one under artificial light. Check whether the edges are clean and whether the signature sits on the front or back.
