One stroke, one tone, lots of space
A single charcoal stroke can carry a whole sheet if its path is right: dark where it starts, thinning out at the end. Minimalist charcoal drawings for sale under 500 euro are chosen for exactly this economy of means.
Minimalist charcoal works show how many shades live in a material that only knows black. Between a rich start and a dusty fade lie grays you only notice when you look quietly. The sheet rewards a longer look. In so little drawing the eye hunts for something to hold, and it finds it at the edge of the stroke.

The right wall
Choose a place without neighbors: beside a window, in a niche, or above an empty sideboard. A white frame in a slim molding keeps the restraint, while a dark frame increases the contrast. A hallway with sparse furnishing also works, since glances rest longer there.
Fixing and protecting
With thin lines, any abrasion shows. Ask about fixing, about glass or acrylic in the frame, and about the paper weight. Small formats under 500 euro are the rule among originals.
