Composition from tension
An abstract drawing in graphite is thought through and free at once, a game of measure and chance. You can buy abstract graphite drawings for sale here if you prefer sheets that feel composed without depicting anything.
Where no motif leads, order arises from weight and counterweight: a dense zone on the left, a light one on the right, a single stroke between them. Graphite offers the finest means for this, from the faintest breath of a line to rich, almost glossy fields.

Effect beside furniture
Abstract drawings work well above a sofa, bed or desk because they dictate no story. A square frame and a large white mat give the sheet bearing. If you like, hang two or three related drawings in a line, and the single sheet turns into a rhythm running across the wall.
Authenticity and care
Graphite lies loosely on the surface, which is why the sheet belongs under glass. A signature on the margin and a note on the technique in the description make the work traceable.
